Community. Join a network of interested and engaged scholars, teachers, activists, artists and institutions;
HIMALAYA journal. Read and contribute to an open access, peer-reviewed journal at the cutting edge of social science and humanities research. Publishing both original scholarship and creative works, the journal is also an exceptional resource for conference and book reviews, news reports, and information relevant to the region;
Funding Opportunities. Apply for Senior Research Fellowships, the Dor Bahadur Bistaprize for best graduate student paper, travel grants, and book award competitions;
ANHS-Kathmandu Research Center Services. Receive assistance with identifyingresearch assistants, navigating research approval and visa strategies, locating housing, participating in lecture and seminar series, and accessing language training;
Conferences. Participate in North America–based Himalayan Studies Conferences and the annual Nepal Studies Conference in Kathmandu co-hosted by ANHS and Social Science Baha. Co-sponsor or contribute to and access resources for these organizational conferences and receive support for facilitating panels at other events, including the Annual Conference on South Asia (‘Madison Conference’) as well as the Annual Meetings of the American Anthropological Association, the American Association of Geographers, the American Academy of Religion, the Association for Asian Studies, and others;
