The Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies is delighted to announce the webinar for the newly released HIMALAYA Special Issue (Vol. 42.2): Gaddi Politics and Identity in the Western Himalaya!
The event brings together anthropologists from various generations and a historian, presenting a myriad of perspectives on Gaddis that offer insights in their identity, beliefs, social formations, folk music, collective memories and politics. Our guest editors, Stephen Christopher and Peter Phillimore, and other contributors will present the main findings of their research projects and summarize the overall contribution of the Special Issue, followed by a general conversation and Q&A.
