Post-Doc on the “Sacred Himalayas”

The New School is seeking an 18 month post-doctoral research fellow for our Sacred Landscapes and Sustainable Futures in the Himalaya Initiative (Sacred Himalaya Initiative<https://t.yesware.com/tl/0efeae3ecc3aa6cbf38746234feba98134f606ec/7bfd9a8cba3383d2d530faa635b4df94/ee919a7afb0d9445dc264b0f165c5d59?ytl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indiachinainstitute.org%2Finitiatives%2Fsacred-himalaya-initiative%2F>). This is a multi-year research and teaching initiative that will explore the intersection of sacred landscapes, everyday religion and environmental issues within the Himalaya through field-based inquiry and theoretical analysis. This project builds and expands on a prior three-year project with a similar focus in the Himalaya. The salary is competitive based on experience, and applications are being accepted until November 1, 2014. The proposed start date for this position is July 1, 2015 in New York City.
