Lecture Series and Speakers

Kathmandu Center can draw noted scholars who have decades of experience in their respective fields to conduct lectures, tours or to work with ANHS scholars as their tutors or research advisors in many subject areas such as:

Anthropology (with focus on different areas of interests), Religion: Hinduism, Buddhism (both, Tibetan and Newar) or a general one as Religions in Nepal; Performing Arts, History, Politics and cultures of Nepal/Tibet; Women’s issues, Development issues, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Journalism, Language, and Literature.

Depending upon a person’s level of expertise, there is a common practice of offering the senior most speakers (noted professors or other scholars etc) up to Rs. 8,000 to 10,000 per lecture (inclusive of transportation, slides, ppt. or handouts).
