Call for Papers: Kathmandu Conference on Nepal and the Himalaya
The Fourth Annual Kathmandu Conference on Nepal and the Himalaya

Proposals are invited for stand-alone papers or three-paper panels.
Papers
Papers can deal with any aspect of life in Nepal and the Himalaya from a social science perspective. Papers can also be comparative so long as Nepal or the Himalaya is included in the comparison.
Length of presentation: 40 minutes per paper, including discussant, floor discussions and remarks from the chair.
Interested individuals are asked to submit an abstract of 400-500 words along with a two-page CV.
Panels
Individuals or institutions can propose three-paper panel covering the areas outlined above to provide a variety of perspectives on a particular theme.
Length of presentation: 2 hours per panel, including discussant(s), floor discussions and remarks from the chair.
Proposals for panels should consist of the topic and brief description of the panel; the three papers to be presented, including abstracts of 400-500 words for each paper and a two-page CV for each author; and the proposed chair and discussant(s).
Interested presenters are requested to send proposals to the Conference Secretariat at [email protected] by Monday, 22 December, 2014.
The proposals will be screened and final selection made by a committee comprising representatives of all four host organisations.
