Abstract:
“Cloudbursts” are the most intense rainstorms in the Himalayan Region during the monsoon season. This study investigated the synoptic conditions and possible upper-level tropical–extratropical interaction during the cloudbursts in the Nepal Himalayas using composite analysis of ERA-Interim data for ten cloudburst events in the central Nepal.
